Helping Melrose and its citizens save energy

In conjunction with the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association
(NESEA), the MEC held the Green Building Open House Tour on Oct. 2
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This event enabled area residents to see how Melrose homeowners
are saving energy through energy-efficient products, appliances and
technologies.

There were 500 other host sites from Maine to Pennsylvania,
including more than 100 in Massachusetts. The event offered the
public an opportunity to see firsthand that energy efficiency,
renewable energy and sustainable practices are viable options for
homeowners.
Melrose hosted more sites than any other Massachusetts
community.
